If something is true to this day is that these kind of experience makes you feel one with nature. The Boy Scouts of America will never get back to what it used to be in the good old days, where there were no girls allowed. The most advanced Scouts in my Troop got to join the Order of the Arrow. They usually were the older ones. Those who stayed became Explorers.
